The first to air from this collaboration between Grey, 3M, and Twist, “Stay Clean” is an example of the casual comedy that has become a signature in Matt’s work. A perfect fit for the spot, Matt and his eye for style detail and art direction maintained the classic brand look created by Twist director Rich Michell while adding humor to the mix. Hearts aren’t something to be afraid of, but what do you do when they attack? In this age of relity TV, the man on the street shooting style relates to an audience, and is one Matt Pittroff has worked with in both his National Aquarium "Chili Dog" spot and Bruster's "Spring Break". Most recently in that aesthetic, Matt Pittroff worked with the American Heart Association to create this public service announcement. Honing in on his interest with production design, Pittroff created a spot that is darker than his norm but still with Pittroff quirky charm. With a man in a giant and intimidating heart suit, Pittroff took heart attack to the literal.

Lottery spots are well known for being creative and comedic, so they align perfectly with Matt Pittroff’s directorial skill set. In a collaboration with Cactus, Matt released this spot for the Colorado Lottery last holiday season.
Marc Andrè Debruyne Creats a Spot and Music Video for Coke
Marc Andrè Drebuyne is finding a niche for himself – in beverages. Coming straight from a shoot for Daily's and as a follow up to shooting with RC Cola, Debruyne released this spot and music video for Coke. Working with contest winners, Marc Andrè utilized his talents on working with youth to create another captivating party sequence, but with a more intimate vibe. In the past, Marc Andrè’s music videos have won him the Director of the Year award at the 2012 Much Music Awards as well as recognition in pop culture.
On February 21, Matt Pittroff joined ADDY Week STL and presented at the director’s luncheon, hosted by David Johnson and Coolfire Media. Matt spoke to the audience not only about how he works, but about his specific process for some of his Ameristar, Affinity Plus and Ad Council work. Matt commented "I think of myself more in advertising than filmmaking” in that he takes the spot, scenes, location, and art direction, and utilizes those tools to sell the message. Matt spoke to the group about having the ability to let go of an idea you may love for the benefit of the spot, the “moving puzzle” of taking the boards and script and figuring how to make the creative idea into a final product, and how the first phone call with the agency is incredibly important.

Blue cross Blue Shield of Illinois asked, “What’s Changing?” and Rich Michell answered. In collaboration with Designwrite Advertising, Rich brought his warmth and style to four new spots for Blue cross Blue Shield of Illinois. Rich displayed his range of talent through the different spots: “What’s Changing” and “Retirement Changes Everything” focuses on people and their interactions and personal life change. “Confused by Choices” and “What Do You Want” showcase his experience with both spokesperson and his signature, clean tabletop/water look. Marc André brought his directorial skill to Manila. Combining his talents of commercial and of music video directing, Marc André created a campaign for Smart, a cell phone provider. Both the spot and the music video feature apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas, Jessica Sanchez from American Idol and major stars from the Philippines.

Matt Pittroff Directs New Spots For Rite Aid & St. Joseph's Cough And Cold
Never fear; even if flu season is here. Matt Pittroff in collaboration with agency Marc USA in Pittsburgh, PA, recently paired comedy with flu season information for Rite Aid. “Nail Gun” and “Basement” are two :30 spots that illustrate how some may be hiding from fearless spreading bacteria (aka the flu). The campaign for Rite Aid promotes the free flu shot, available without an appointment. Pittroff illustrates directorial talent by showcasing a humorous, but informative campaign.

Twist has welcomed Staff Rep Bettina Warshaw. Bettina Warshaw loves to connect – people, communities, and collaborators. Born and raised in New York, Bettina attended Emerson College and graduated with a degree in Theater Studies. Most recently, Bettina was the Forward Motion Coordinator at the collaborative platform Grind. In her spare time, she continues to write and perform in her own theatrical work, and is currently working on self-publishing a collection of short stories.

Matt Pittroff continues his successful collaboration with ad agency Cannonball on the multi-spot 2012 “Slots Alive Campaign” for Ameristar Casinos. The “Quadricorn” is back for an appearance, an experience sure to tickle the funny bone. All spots for the new campaign exhibit eclectic content with a creative showcase of sets, costumes, and cinematography. Ancient Egypt, Pirates, and the late 1700s; it’s a bit of magic married with a lot of fun.

Debruyne directs the storyline of a relationship challenged by time in the beautiful Keisha Chante's "I Miss U." The music video was warmly received and premiered on BET's "106 & Park."

Low in calories, with two exciting flavors; Italian Cheese & Herb and Cheddar Sun-Dried Tomato. With an expertise in table-top and food shooting, Michell brings a signature clean simplicity to the new spot entitled: "Let the Chips Fall."

For the past five years, Director/DP Rich Michell has enjoyed an ongoing collaboration with 3M on over 20 spots. The most recent collaboration, "Ain't Seen Nothing Yet," highlights not only the eco-conscious 3M Scotch Brite Greener Clean scrub sponge, but also Michell's innate ability to craft a fun and practical product demo.

CenturyLink partnered with Twist's Matt Pittroff to create comical new spots promoting their High-Speed Internet "5 Year Price Lock Guarantee." The commercial was filmed on location in Pittroff's hometown of Baltimore, MD, where the Director showcases well the hysteria a seemingly "too-good-to-be-true" deal can cause.
Marc André Debruyne directs these new spots for Toronto’s non-profit Red Door Family Shelter. In collaboration with Code Film, Debruyne and his team were influenced by real-life stories that inspired the creative direction of the “Not everybody wants to go home” campaign.

Rich Michell Marries Food and People Talent For Land O' Lakes
National brand Land O' Lakes returns to Twist Director Rich Michell to utilize his talent as both a people and table-top shooter in this spot for their butter. The spot reminds people that Land O' Lakes sources local farms, and it features a portrait of one such farm family, along with lovely imagery of a family making cookies with the product.
Shortly after Marc André Debruyne's U.S. commercial debut, premium decking company,Trex, worked with him to showcase the beauty of their product. The Twist director was selected by ad agency Nieman Group for his talent as a music video director to helm this music and image driven project.
Stocksmith Contributes Talent to Popular Web Series
Twist Director Chris Stocksmith has been busy directing, producing, and editing episodes for AOL's popular show "Youve Got...". The show is a daily program which features individuals and businesses of interest from President Obama to Will Ferrell. It's part of AOL Video, their online platform for original content. According to AOL, they hit the web's Top Ten most viewed series within the first month. The work draws on Stocksmith's skill with New Media and documentary storytelling.
Director Grady Cooper's new spot "Plates" for Yo Greek features a lovely couple in their kitchen as they go through their daily routine. A man eats his container of Yo Greek for breakfast, and to his wife's irritation, he finds himself overcome by Greek-ness. Bouzouki music fills their kitchen, and our husband smashes all of their plates with high kicks and charmingly obnoxious flair. Cooper's spot showcases his love for the absurd, and he brings his knack for pulling out the unexpected to a familiar feeling couple and every day situation.
Pittroff and Parkour; Winning Combo For Ad Council And AICPA
Twist Director Matt Pittroff has completed the next "Feed The Pig" spot for Ad Council and AICPA. This is part of a larger brand unveiling set for January. Twist & AICP Chapter President, Jim Geib, Hosts 2011 AICP Show
Jim Gieb, President and Owner of New York & Minneapolis based company, Twist, hosted this year's AICP Show on its tour to Minneapolis. Along with Chapter Vice President, Kel Nelson, Geib successfully created a live action show opener which involved 90 volunteer members of the local film community. The involved opener is a testament to Talent and Crew's commitment, both to creativity and to the health of the local market. The event was held at the world-renowned Guthrie Theatre.

Director/DP Rich Michell went on the road to bring back a story of new technology. This piece can appropriately be viewed online, and shows off Michell's talent for combining real stories with lovely visuals. NetApp has transformed how the legal industry gets their information with a break-through development for Thompson Reuters company Westlaw. NetApp products offer network storage solutions, virtualization, and cloud computing. This work is an interesting compliment to the other New Media content both Rich and Twist have done.
Congratulations to Twist's Rob Neill for completing the successful run of "The Complete & Condensed Stage Directions of Eugene O'Neill, Volume 1: Early Plays / Lost Plays." Neill is the Managing Director of Sponsoring Company "NY Neo Futurists", who have a well-respetced ongoing production "Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind". The production was extended after rave reviews from "NY Times" and "Time Out New York". Neill's work exemplifies Twist's mission to seek out team members with creative passion and to encourage their personal work.
Director/Editor Grady Cooper keeps his comedy and editorial muscles flexed by working on season 3 of "The League" for FX. He edited the first episode, starring Seth Rogan. Grady also edited MTV's scripted comedy "Awkward" which just completed its first season and will start season 2 early next year. Also keep an eye out for new MTV show "Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous", starring comedian Bo Burnham. Grady edited the pilot for this new series.

Among the effects created for this campaign are display cases, which were created practically for the celebrity drivers to appear in - - and replica cases created by Cerebral for the cars to be placed in. The campaign is back on the air this month.

Associate Creative Directors Matthew Bottkol and Todd Eisner from Dentsu NY called on Twist Director Chris Stocksmith, well-known for his storytelling and documentary-style of shooting, for an unusual local community effort. The talented trio has gotten behind a new documentary project called “Pong For Teeth” for Brooklyn-based Bartender Jamie Mandel. Jamie, who lost nine teeth in 1995 when his car was hit by a drunk driver, will be playing a 15-hour ping-pong tournament on Saturday, April 30th with the hopes of raising $35,000 for a new set of teeth.
